Connect to Customers Using Integrated
Closed-Loop Messaging at XPLOR 2002

STAMFORD, Conn., October 22, 2002 -- Pitney

will demonstrate new ways integrated closed-loop messaging
can help businesses connect with their customers, at the XPLOR
2002 Global Electronic Document Systems Conference and Exhibit,
October 27 through October 30 at the Anaheim Convention Center.
Through
interactive demonstrations in Booth 340, Pitney Bowes will
showcase a high-level integration of its software, inserter
and sorter systems to illustrate closed-loop messaging solutions.
This will focus around document composition, data cleansing
and quality, print stream engineering, digital document delivery,
high speed mail piece insertion, mail piece tracking, outbound
and inbound mail sorting and process monitoring.
Xplor
attendees can learn how the document creation, production,
distribution and receipt functions can be fully integrated
into enterprise and CRM systems at demonstrations focusing
on 1:1 marketing automation, return mail management, regulatory
privacy compliance, and integrations with the call center.
Advancements
in Pitney Bowes’ strong solution and technology portfolio
will be discussed in-depth by Michael Critelli, Pitney Bowes
Chairman and CEO, and Chairman of the Mailing Industry Task
Force, at a breakfast on Tuesday, October 29 at 7:30 am. The
forum, at the West Coast Anaheim Hotel, will discuss developments
in Intelligent Mail and its corresponding benefits to businesses
and consumers. Additionally, 15 Pitney Bowes experts and customers
will be delivering presentations at the Xplor-sponsored educational
sessions. Subjects will range from creating an automated document
factory to web-enabled bill and statement delivery.

and statements to call center agents to greatly increase new
business opportunities and provides more efficient call inquiry
resolution.
Additionally,
Pitney Bowes will feature a collaborative effort with IBM
Printing Systems Division, a world leader in production print
solutions, to deliver an optimal ADF solution for managing
print and finishing. The Xplor demonstration will showcase
the power of automating data, document workflow and physical
paper workflow through an integration of IBM Printing Systems'
Infoprint Workflow, the leading solution in data management,
systems integration, and infrastructure control, with Pitney
Bowes' DFWorks, a leading solution for online management of
the ADF.
The Closed-Loop
Message demonstration will highlight new ways to ensure confidential
customer information is kept secure to assist companies who
must comply with privacy regulations. Pitney Bowes high integrity
mail piece inserters on display will be using the DFWorks™
online document factory management solution to demonstrate
how companies can achieve data quality and integrity.
New inserter
system enhancements will also be on display at Xplor. The
FX10F inserter system will feature a new high-tech external
design with simplified job changeover capabilities to processes
letters and flats mail interchangeable at respective speeds
of 12,000 cycles per hour and 9,000 cycles per hour.
